While his long-standing translational research interests focus on molecular determinants of prostate cancer progression and prostate cancer health disparities, his current research also focuses on understanding the role of tumor-derived exosomes in mediating prostate cancer progression, with special emphasis on racial disparity of prostate cancer. Importantly, his research recently identified that lead compounds, via high-throughput strategies, can be repurposed to effectively target and inhibit exosome biogenesis/secretion and uptake by recipient cells.
