This project aims to study the impact of alterations in the neural circuits of the cerebral cortex controlling voluntary skilled movements. The goal is to apply machine learning algorithms and quantification of skilled movement in mice.
These models will be used to detect movement dynamics and improvements in movement performance in different mouse models with genetic alterations. A key area of interest in the application of machine learning models to the detection of rapid and precise movement, based on high-speed video analysis recording mouse motion.
