Dr. Wu’s basic research centers on the molecular mechanisms of inflammation and carcinogenesis, with a special emphasis on the pathogenesis of liver cancer and inflammatory liver diseases. His laboratory focuses on the biological functions and molecular mechanisms of several signaling molecules/cascades including miRNAs, lncRNAs, TGF-beta, Hedgehog, Hippo-YAP, prostaglandins, fatty acids and other key signaling pathways in liver inflammation, liver injury and carcinogenesis.
